It has begun. 2013 is striding slowly toward centre stage, to take his final bow and slip, quiet but content, behind the curtain.
Across the world families store their finest foodstuffs in preparation for the feast, villages build effigies to set aflame, warding off the evil spirits and guiding home the good. Fortunetellers will cast the leaves, friends will adorn their neighbours’ doors with the various cultural manifestations of good luck and good health; from festoons of fruit in central Europe, to stacks of broken crockery in Denmark*.
And here in London we are no exception. Citizens young and old top up their Oyster cards now so as to avoid the inevitable Ceremony of the Broken Top Up Machine come the 31st. Families store away provisions for the long and icy hours spent on platforms, in corridors and in stalled carriages in the Parade of the Insufficient Tube Network. Our city’s young are busy saving every spare penny they have in anticipation of the advent of the Holy and Unwavering Six Pound Can of Redstripe.
But wait! It doesn’t have to be like this, and as usual, you can trust the cunning and terribly clever crew here at Rumpus Productions to have come up with something much, much better. Ladies and Gentlemen, all Creatures great and small, we present to you:

Mojo Hand - Howling blues from the Deep South with its soul stolen back from the devil and all the groove and grime of the pre-electric masters injected back in.
Adam Beattie and the Consultants- The springtime thunderstorm vocals of Adam Beattie cascade over the mighty mountain of groove supplied by his†unparalleled band, The Consultants. Downtown Blues distilled in the hills of Bennachie and served with a sprinkling of Swing.
Steph West - Heavenly harp-playing to welcome you into the mansion.
Max Grant - Sit by the fireplace for a moment and let the wandering troubadour play the most soulful sax for you and just you.

The terrifyingly captivating girls of How Was That will lead you by the hand into their lair and guide through a ritual of saying goodbye to the Old, and welcoming the New.
The Dining Room
